Green Bay Packers' defensive back/return specialist Will Blackmon has been lost for the season after tearing the ACL in his left knee on Monday night against the Vikings. The former Bishop Hendricken and Boston College star, who got married this June, unfortunately had his share of injuries -- in his 2006 rookie season he played in just four games due to foot and rib injuries, while in 2007 he missed seven games plus two playoff contests because of a broken foot. Last year, Blackmon played in all 16 games, and averaged a strong 11.1 yards per punt return with two touchdowns and 20.7 yards on 55 kickoff returns. He also had 17 tackles (16 solo) and two forced fumbles on defense. |
