Bill Belichick just ended his Monday press conference.
Among the topics talked about included the Patriots lack of 3rd down efficiency in the second half against the Broncos; opposing teams' recent ability to have long drives against the Patriots; the lack of pass rush that the Patriots had against the Broncos; executing better both offensively and defensively; how Belichick believes that the Titans are a good team even though they are 0-5; and how affective he thought Myron Pryor and Jerod Mayo were against the Broncos.
Belichick gave no update on Matt Light's injured right knee. The Pro Bowler and member of the Patriots 50th Anniversary Team injured his knee on the first play of the fourth quarter when center Dan Koppen rolled into Light's knee during a 12-yard pass to Wes Welker.
He stayed on the field for several moments to allow the trainers to work on him. He would eventually leave the field without putting much pressure on his right leg and was replaced by rookie Sebastian Vollmer.
After spending a few minutes on the sidelines being attended to by trainers, Light left for the locker room and did not return. Over his nine-year career, Light has appeared in 118 games, starting 116, including 59-in-a-row.
Belichick said that Vollmer was "alright" filling in for Light.
