Just off the field from practice, where the Patriots players are in full pads for today's session.

There were five players not spotted: Julian Edelman, Fred Taylor, Matt Light, Sammy Morris and Darius Butler.

It is unknown at this point whether Butler's absence is tied to the death of his friend and former college teammate, Jasper Howard. He was not spotted in the locker room today.

Also, there were five players in black as practice players of the week: Brian Hoyer, Isaiah Stanback, Derrick Burgess, Terrence Wheatley and Darryl Richard.
