Today is definitely a winter day -- it is bitter cold and windy for the Patriots as they go through another practice session, today on the lower field behind Gillette.

There were three players not spotted: Tom Brady, Myron Pryor and Eric Alexander. Brady did not participate yesterday either, the first practice he has missed this season, and on the team's injury report, a right finger was listed as the cause, as well as his right shoulder.

During Sunday's game, television cameras showed Brady's right ring finger as being bruised.

That means Ty Warren and Fred Taylor returned to practice after missing yesterday.
