New England's defensive coordinator, Dean Pees, spent last night in a Houston-area hospital undergoing tests after feeling short of breath during the Pats game against the Texans.
The 60-year old Pees apparently has had a chest cold for some time, and while it is likely his shortness of breath was tied to that, Patriots medical staff advised him to go to a hospital to get things checked out as a precaution.
It was not an emergency situation.
Pees underwent a battery of tests, all of which he passed, and flew home to Massachusetts this evening. Not only is he ok to coach this week, it's possible he will be at Gillette Stadium tonight to get caught up on preparations for New England's playoff game with Baltimore.
