A dozen NFL editors and writers from USA Today have named the New England Patriots as the NFL's Franchise of the Decade. New England received 11 of 12 first-place votes. The Indianapolis Colts were second and the Pittsburgh Steelers were third. The other first place vote went to the Colts, citing New England's involvement in the 2007 "Spygate" scandal which cost coach Bill Belichick $500,000 and the club its 2008 first-round draft pick.
