Inquiring minds want to know.

Did Tom Brady get his contract extension signed with the team today?

"No," Brady said during his weekly interview inside the Patriots locker room. "I've been in meetings all morning."

Brady said that while the world is wondering about his contract, that is the furthest thing from his mind.

"It's not even a part of my thoughts right now," Brady said. "I haven't thought about it yesterday, today. I was just thinking about the team we've got to play. I owe that to this team. They all have a lot of things going on too and they come into work and they're focused on the team and I think that's my responsibility and my role and that's what I love to do anyways. That's what I'm going to continue to try to do."

When Brady was asked if he believed he would finish his career with the Patriots, he said: "I don't assume anything anymore in life. I don't think anything is really guaranteed to us beyond what we have today. I really feel that way. I think that's the approach I've taken over the years. You really never know when your last day may be. I really try to just take it one day at a time. I know it's a cliché and all of that but it's the truth."

Brady went on to say that he has, and always will have a great relationship with the Patriots organization. He has reportedly been offered a four year deal worth between $18 and $20 million a year.

Because Brady has had four surgeries in eight years, he said that his health is going to be a big part in determining how much he wants to sign for.

"That's a big part of it. It's a physical game. I've had four surgeries in eight years, my shoulder and my knee and my groin," said Brady. "It's pretty much every other year you're having a surgery. And all surgeries are major as far as I'm concerned.

"Like I said you count your blessings when you come off the field. I think you have a new appreciation when you do come off the field, win or lose. You're trying to win every time out, obviously, but I think you also pinch yourself every time you walk off the field, `Man, at least I get a chance to go out and play next week."
