MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and NFLPA head DeMaurice Smith have resumed talks aimed at ending the lockout -- this time joined by a handful of players and owners.

The group is meeting at a Minneapolis law firm with U.S. Magistrate Arthur Boylan. The participants included New York Giants owner John Mara and Indianapolis Colts center Jeff Saturday
It's the fifth set of "secret" talks between the two sides this month as the clock ticks on the 2011 season.

Training camps are scheduled to open in just over three weeks with the Hall of Fame game on Aug. 7.
