Between 40 and 60 members of the New England Patriots worked out together today, as quarterback Tom Brady came into town to prepare for a charity event this weekend.
According to The Boston Herald, the workout took place this morning at Boston College's Alumni Stadium. According to The Boston Globe, whose Shalise Manza Young witnessed a portion of the workout, almost every Patriot starter was in attendance. They were joined by rookies including offensive tackle Nate Solder, cornerback Ras-I Dowling, running back Shane Vereen and quarterback Ryan Mallett.
The players were in shorts and T-shirts, with the offense and defense split up. The Globe reported that there was a brief period of 11-on-11 competition, with Brady handing off or throwing short passes.
Brady is in town preparing to host a football game Friday night at Harvard Stadium for Best Buddies International, a charity founded by Anthony Kennedy Shriver that assists people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
