The longest-tenured Patriot will be back for another season.
The Patriots announced today that they have re-signed running back Kevin Faulk, who has been with the team since New England took him with the 46th overall pick in the 1999 draft.
Faulk, 35, is the team's all-time leader in all-purpose yards (12,247) and kickoff return yards (4,098), as well as combined kickoff and punt return yards (5,030).
He suffered a season-ending knee injury in the second game of the 2010 season.
The Patriots also formally announced that guard Logan Mankins has signed his franchise tender, as had been widely reported this week; and that they have agreed to new contracts with running back Sammy Morris, an unrestricted free agent, and cornerback Kyle Arrington, a restricted free agent.
Also, defensive lineman Steve Williams, who played in Canada the last two seasons, has signed with the Patriots. Williams spent the 2007 season with the Carolina Panthers. He was in Patriots camp in 2009 but was waived before the start of the season.
