Thomas: $20 million guaranteedHey all -- Now that Adalius Thomas' contract is official, the financial details are starting to come out. It is a five-year deal, and Thomas will get $20 million guaranteed -- over the first two years of the contract. He receives a $12 million signing bonus this year as well as a $900,000 base salary. In 2008, he'll get an $8 million option bonus and the same base salary as this year. For most NFL contracts, the first three years are what matter money-wise. That hasn't been the case so much with the Pats, so for them to give Thomas so much up front shows how much they wanted him. shalise
