Referee John Parry predicted that the failure of Tom Brady and Wes Welker to connect on a second down pass in the fourth quarter would cost the Patriots Super Bowl XLVI, according to game audio played on the NFL Network's "Sound FX" show.

The half-hour program reairs on the NFL Network today at 3:30.

After Welker failed to haul in Brady's back-shoulder pass, Parry -- who was wearing a microphone for the show -- said, "Whoa, that was the game."

In other highlights of the show, which debuted Wednesday night:

-Giants linebacker Michael Boley is heard early in the game telling his teammates that Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is not 100 percent. "Eighty-seven's a decoy," Boley says. "He's about to be outta here."

-After the Giants were called for a holding penalty that negated a 10-yard run on a third-and-1 in the second quarter, eventually forcing New York to punt, Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork acknowledges to Parry that the flag should not have been thrown. "That was a bad call," Wilfork says.

-Before the Giants begin what would become the game-winning touchdown drive, Bill Belichick tells his players to focus on taking away wide receivers Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz. "Make them go to Manningham, make them go to Pascoe, but let's make sure we get Cruz and Nicks," he instructs them. On the very first play of the following drive, Eli Manning connected with Mario Manningham on a 38-yard completion that moved the ball to midfield.

-Later in the drive, as the giants huddle up on second and goal from the Pats' 6-yard line, with 1:04 remaining, New England linebacker Jerod Mayo tells his teammates, "We've got to let them score." On the following play, running back Ahmad Bradshaw ran straight up the middle, attempted to stop at the goal line, but tumbles backward into the end zone with what would prove to be the accidental game-winning touchdown.

Former Patriots safety Rodney Harrison, in an interview Wednesday on ESPN Radio Chicago 1000, lashed out at current tight end Rob Gronkowski over his partying after the Pats' loss in Super Bowl XLVI.

Video of the team's postgame party showed Gronkowski, who played a limited role in Sunday's game because of a high ankle sprain, dancing shirtless along with offensive tackle Matt Light to the group LMFAO.

"I guarantee you this," said Harrison, who is now a commentator on NBC Sports, "if Willie McGinest, Tedy Bruschi, Larry Izzo, Richard Seymour or myself had been at that party, [Gronkowski] probably would have got his head rung. There's no reason for that to happen."

Harrison also expressed disappointment that Light, a veteran of all the Pats' three Super Bowl victories last decade, was involved.

"The leadership has to step up and someone has to pull [Gronkowski] to the side and say, 'Look young man, this is inappropriate, this is not the time nor the place. You need to grow up,'" Harrison said. "And that's what it comes down to. I like this kid. I think he's a good kid, works hard, is unselfish. But he made a mistake."

Three days after he was unexpectedly released just before the Super Bowl, Tiquan Underwood signed a future contract with the Patriots.

The wide receiver was let go on Saturday, barely 24 hours before New England took the field against the Giants in Super Bowl XLVI. Underwood, however, handled the news with class, and was one of seven players to agree to deals with the Pats on Tuesday.

Underwood caught three passes in five games for New England after being released in the preseason by the Jaguars.

Ross Ventrone, star of the transaction log, was also signed to a future contract. In his second year out of Villanova, Ventrone played in eight games in 2011.

Linebacker Markell Carter, wide receiver Britt Davis, offensive lineman Matt Kopa, defensive end Aaron Lavarias and linebacker Mike Rivera also agreed to deals with the Patriots.

Future contracts are termed as such since the 2012 season doesn't officially begin until March. The only players eligible to sign future contracts are those who were not on an NFL active roster at season's end.

Asked what advice he might have for the players, Patriots coach Bill Belichick said they should give it some time.

"I think the day after the game or an hour or two after the game is not really the time to make any big long-term decisions," he said Monday afternoon when the team returned to Gillette Stadium. "I think it's probably best that all of us - young players, old players, old coaches, young coaches - that we all take a little time to just catch our breath, collect our thoughts and try not to make any life-changing decisions coming off - either way - to try to make those big decisions right on the tail end of big emotions in a game like that."

In a most informal announcement, New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick confirmed Monday that Josh McDaniels has been appointed to replace Bill O'Brien as the Patriots' offensive coordinator.

"When will you announce the succession plan for Bill O'Brien as offensive coordinator?" a reporter asked after the Pats returned home from their Super Bowl loss in Indianapolis.

"It's Josh," Belichick said.

Of course, the announcement came as little surprise.

The Patriots brought back McDaniels shortly after O'Brien announced early last month that he was leaving at the end of the season to become the new head coach at Penn State.

A member of the New England coaching staff from 2001-2008, McDaniels served as the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach for the last three of those seasons, including New England's record-setting season in 2007.

CINCINNATI (AP) -- New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge in Cincinnati hours after playing in the Super Bowl.

A Hamilton County court bailiff says the former Cincinnati Bengal pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of failure to display a driver's license during a July 21 traffic stop.

Court documents show Ochocinco, who's listed under his former name Chad Johnson, was originally charged with driving with a suspended license and a window tint violation. The documents also state that his out- of-state driver's license was suspended. The bailiff says he has a valid license now.

The judge fined Ochocinco $200 and ordered him to pay $104 in court costs.
His attorney says the court "record speaks for itself" and declined to comment further.

We know who Gisele Bundchen is blaming for the Patriots loss in Super Bowl XLVI -- the New England wide receivers.

While waiting for an elevator inside Lucas Oil Stadium following the Patriots 21-17 loss to the Giants, Bundchen responded to some taunts from Giants fans with the following line: "My husband can not (expletive) throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times."
